They are excellent to wear with a suit and dress shoes. A little thicker for sure vs traditional dress socks but I have flat low feet so it's better. I wear a 11 shoe (10.5 in a Barrie last) and use the large size of these. Also a big merino fan so I do wear these multiple times before washing and use Nikwax wool wash. Even during the summers these are really fine since they breath well. My cotton socks are oil rags now.
