    My waist is about 34.5. Size 34 jeans are often a bit tight especially in winter when we I gain an inch. The standard size for men jeans is 34 and then 36. A size 36 is an inch too big and some jeans won't shrink enough to fit me properly. Here, I was able to order a size 35, which is perfect after a washing.
