Why? because the are warm, wick and can go a long time without washing. Most folks donate cotton, which is fine for Southern states, but here in the NW it is WET AND RAW. One humorous thing however, two of the fellas running the program eagerly accepted one pair each. Now whenever I see them at church, they are all about the socks! But then, there were two less for the homeless. GOD BLESS (a wee poem).
