Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Quality

I was not familiar with the Ferrino brand prior to ordering, but am happy that I am now acquainted with their product! I ordered both the Highlab Silver Pro bag and the Diable 700 bag to compare and I am torn between them. Note - I have not yet personally field tested these products and will certainly update my review after testing, however, given that there are no reviews for either bag, I wanted to share my first impression. Both bags are very high quality construction. I am quite impressed by the attention to detail. The HL Silver Pro has a shaped draft collar which cinches nicely (and comfortably) around my neck and shoulders. Great shape to the bag. I am average (5'9"/175lb) and this bag fits me perfectly. Just enough space for a little wiggle room and adequate loft. I will update my review when I am able to give a more thorough evaluation, but I give 5 stars for my first impression given the quality of build, attention to detail, and affordability (currently, the same bag is offered on Amazon for $350-$400).

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Not close to meeting the claim of 20 degree F temp
Verified Buyer Reviewed by GFP from CA on Sunday, September 4, 2016
I used this bag during 40 F temp nights and got very cold. I had secured the top of the bag at the shoulders and pulled the top over my head -- something that I would normally do only below freezing -- and it still wasn't enough to get warm. I was so excited about the bag's weight and size but I paid the price. I am considering returning the bag if STP lets me since I didn't keep the return label.

About Ferrino

Founded in Turin, Italy by Cesare Ferrino in 1870, this venerable outdoor gear brand was among the first to create an industrial process for producing weatherproof waxed fabrics. In the 145 years since, Ferrino backpacks, tents and sleeping bags have continued to help adventurers go further. From Reinhold Messner’s ascent of Lhotse (the fourth highest peak in the world) in 1986 to Borge Ousland’s solo, unassisted ski trek across Antarctica in 1997, Ferrino tents and packs remain trusted assets to many of the world’s most intrepid explorers. When it comes to creating Ferrino sleeping bags, tents and packs, this brand has a longstanding reputation for exceeding expectations.
