Wool is the only way to go if you are going to sweating, and you don't want to carry multiple shirts or wash and dry clothing. This lightweight hoody is perfect; keeps me warm over a t-shirt in 40 degrees when hiking in the day.

Wear as a baselayer in winter, mid-layer in the spring, or outer layer on a summer evening. Can be worn for days (weeks?!) without washing, without that polypro stink. Can also be worn biking or hiking all day and to a mountain town restaurant that night. The fabric is soft, light, slightly stretchy, and feels good on the skin. Fit is true to size. My husband is 5' 6", 150 lbs., and the medium is perfect. If ever the women's version shows up here, I'm 5'3", 125 lbs., and wear the small(s!). Yes, I have several, thus I had to get this for my hubby- at this price, it was a no-brainer. Thanks, STP!!

The weave is tight and the stitching great. The thumb holes are indeed present, just built into the sleeves and unobtrusive, and the hood is snug fitting, comfortable and warm. I already owned a green color Ibex hoodie when I purchased two in black from STP. I'm 5'10" and 145" and the small fits like a comfortable glove...great for a base layer and even to sleep in. Ibex merino wool is top notch.

Fits perfectly- the arms did not have the thumb holes as it looks in the picture, but the overall fit and quality is excellent. Love Ibex.
