Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe, comfortable while aggressive

I love these shoes. They are aggressive without being painful. The Vibram XS Grip is super sticky and I find I am very confident with my footwork in these shoes. Edging performance is terrific. The feel is somewhat similar to the Sportiva Miura but more aggressive and downturned. I've worn them on routes up to 5.12 with success. I also have the Rockettes which are more downturned and I like them too but they kill my feet on long routes. I did go half size bigger on these Sphinxs because I wanted a shoe for long routes and long days outside and I feel that I didn't give up much in performance by doing that. (For reference, I am size 7 street, 37 Rockettes, 37.5 Sphinx and 35.5 Miura).

Great shoes. I'm always impressed with the quality of Scarpa shoes. Unfortunately these were sized too small (I wear the exact same size in other Scarpa shoes) so I had to return them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again in a larger size.

they are nice, lightweight and tight in the heel. only problem i see so far is the nasty glue stains or something on the toe part of the shoe...and it does not have the rubber piece covering the toe like they show in he pictures. other than that seem nice. cant wait till they break in a little.
