"Lunar Rock" in plain language means an ashen grey, definitely more grey than the off-white that's in the picture. That said, it's perfectly suitable. Very light, more like a thin blanket than a quilt. I would describe it as quilted because of the stitching, but not because there is filler in the quilt pockets.
