Cut is very flattering and forgiving on my body (138 lbs, 5'6, athletic body but a bit extra cushion in the tummy area). Size Small worked beautifully on me. Got lots of compliments wearing it out.

Tights will be a must for modest, 5'8" me. I was planning on that. My only criticism is the fabric is indeed very lightweight. Since I associate corduroy with cool weather, a little heavier fabric was expected. I'm still pleased with the dress and anxious to wear it.

It feels almost exactly like wearing a very long man's shirt, cut generously, not shapeless, but kind to the imperfect figure. The oorderoy wale is very fine, so there is no bulkiness, and it is light enough to wear even in cooler summer weather.

This dress is a soft, light weight corduroy, it just hangs on you, but if belted it looks great. A nice length and very comfortable.
