I literally took them right out of the box, put them on and headed out. First of all they are very easy to put on and immediately felt comfortable. I walked at least 3 miles through fields of snow. Amazingly warm and very comfortable and easy to walk it. Also they have very good grip. I own an expensive pair of Sorel boots that are warm but very very heavy. I would only use my Sorels if absolutely necessary as they are exhausting to wear. The North Face boots are comfortable enough to wear out to do errands. I couldn’t believe the price of these boots on sale. I figured at that price I would just take a chance. I’m so glad I did!

Comfort and function was a must on my list. I LOVE these boots! Also, I am very athletic built and they actually fit my large calves, but could be tightened for smaller ones too. Very versatile boot, and warm too.

These are too tight and too short even in the thin wool socks. I ordered a 7 1/2 after checking my NF Chilkat sizing. Should have been the same fit, but the left boot was not just too tight but hurt my heel as well.
Might try the 8, but am reluctant. -

Wicked comfy! Warm and waterproof. Perfect fit. I am a size 9.5/10, I ordered a 10 and have room for thicker sock in case I ever need them.

I usually wear a 9.5 sometimes 10 I tried on a 9 at the store which was too small the 9.5 was not big enough to wear thick socks with so hopefully the 10 will provide enough room for thick socks. They are very comfortable though
