I can't make any claims regarding the bug repelling properties of this skirt but I can say I was pleasantly surprised that the fabric did not have any strange feel or odor. Ran a little big. This skirt is great for hot summers. I wear it to kid's games as well as with a dressier professional shirt for work. Lots of options.

I looked up sizing and it showed UK sizes with the USA sizes being smaller. Ex.: a UK 12 was a US 8. Also, the review said that it came quite large. I ordered a 12 thinking it was be like a US 8, which would normally be a bit small on me. However I received a UK 16 which is listed as a USA 12 and it is huge on me.
