Closeouts. An outer layer with layers of its own, the SmartWool Double Propulsion 60 vest offers hybrid protection for winter activities. The hood, sides and lining are made of moisture-wicking and odor-resistant merino wool, and the wind- and water-resistant body features 60g SmartLoft insulation.

- 60g SmartLoft insulation in body adds warmth, even when wet

It is very lightweight and packable and kept me warm on a breezy 45 degree afternoon. I thought the asymmetrical zip would be odd or unflattering, but I didn't really notice it while wearing. The panels on the side allow for movement and stretch. I think I got the last one offered in Black. I would say it runs true to size or just a tad more generous in size than other Smartwool shirts that I own. There is plenty of room to wear layers without being too loose or too fitted. Love that the inside and hood are lined and the chest and back insulated panels break the wind a bit. I would buy it again.

I hope it repels dirt, because hello, white, but ultimately I want it for warmth so I won't care. The zipper is slightly asymmetrical which gives it an edgy vibe, hopefully it won't hang strangely when open but so far it doesn't seem to- the drawstrings on the hood are annoying but the hood actually is big, which is why they hang farther out. I'd definitely recommend trying it, fits true to size.
