Last year I suggested I do something different for them and there was a great unanimous “no!”. Only 1 in the group actually uses these to ski. They are great for wearing with boots in the snow or cold days. They do the job of a great pair of winter socks. Wear them in the house with slippers on the coldest days and your feet and legs will thank you. They stay up, they keep you warm, they keep their shape, they are not itchy. I would rather they were not so popular so I could always get the ones I want though!!

The only thing wrong with them is that the pattern is on the back of the sock instead of the side, which is where it looks like it should be. I wear them under pants anyway, so no problem for me.

I'm impressed with the customer service, even on a second.

Not usableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Cori from Washington, DC on Thursday, October 18, 2018I expect irregulars to be, well, irregular, and generally Smartwool irregulars are a bit small or a bit large, but still a functional product. These socks were too irregular to be used, at least as socks. One had a defective weave, which was so loose that the sock was malformed and had large holes throughout. Sierra Trading Post did accept a return, but the round trip shipping costs are as much as the sock was in the first place. These are a great deal if you're buying in store, but it's not worth it if you're buying online.
