They offer enough coverage for all my activities although I'd say it's moderate. They're not riding up or anything. I ordered a large as I usually do with Prana even though I am usually a medium everywhere else. I wear pants 6/8, athletic build.

I got a booty and a the small was cutting into my thighs like greedy hands grabbing at my bits.
