2.0 out of 5 stars. Thin, low waistVerified Buyer Reviewed by Laura from Chicago on Tuesday, September 10, 2019Ended up returning. The material was very thin and the waist very low. Couldn't imagine wearing these and feeling comfortable.

3.0 out of 5 stars. size large equates to about a 34" man's waistVerified Buyer Reviewed by allroad from high desert on Tuesday, June 18, 2019Was looking for old-school Merckx-era shorter-length men's cycling shorts, and these in Size Large fit the bill for about a man's waist size 34" and muscular sprinter thighs. Ordinary thighs will swim in these as other reviewers mentioned, but they'd still for for a looser fit if that's what you wanted for whatever workout. They'll starting looking too short even for Merckx for about 510" tall man, though thigh length varies within height.
No pad or liner at all, which is the preference for many cyclists not interested in modern sculpted-pad shorts, so they cross over well to other activities. The polyester/spandex is a better less shiny retro look than the usual "skin-short" nylon/spandex, but without the disadvantage of wool like the old school shorts.
Fit is simple with straight seams with no particular accommodation for men or shape, but that was true of the old school shorts too. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. bike shortsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mainly a spin class cycler from Washington on Friday, April 5, 2019These are fairly comfortable. The waistband is very comfortable, but the shorts are too short (my fault for not looking at the description better) and so they ride up. The leg band is also comfortable and not too tight, but maybe this is why they ride up, but I think they are just too short for me. Also, the padding is very thick! Lots of padding!! But I am keeping them because they were a super price and a good brand.
