About Evolv Elektra Climbing Shoes (For Women)
Closeouts. If only Oedipus could see the evolution Evolv brought to Elektra. He'd gasp at the construction, tuned specifically to suite a woman's unique foot profile, and he'd certainly marvel at the high sensitivity midsole, asymmetric toe and super-grippy rubber outsole. Stupid curses.
- Made with a lower volume and narrower toe box, arch and heel along with a lower cut ankle to comfortably hug a woman's foot
- Elastic synthetic upper with touch-fasten straps provide a snug, secure fit
- Soft midsole allows excellent smearing and high sensitivity on the wall
- Asymmetric toe and grippy rubber sole thrive during hard bouldering and sport climbs
- Aggressive Tight Fit: Order 1 size smaller
- All Day Comfort Fit: True to size
- Runs small, order 1/2 size larger
- Made in United States of America
- Climbing activities are inherently dangerous; we recommend getting proper instruction on its correct and safe use -- for any refund, climbing gear must be returned in its original packaging/coil, and have original hangtags and plastic wrapper

5.0 out of 5 stars. great shoes!Reviewed by TN_hiker from Chattanooga, TN on Sunday, November 23, 2014I'm a beginner climber - and have been on the hunt for a pair of good yet inexpensive shoes. These are great! They seem true to size. Obviously they're tight by nature, but as I got used to them and tried them out bouldering I can say I'm very happy with the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great pair of climbing shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nat from California on Thursday, October 16, 2014Fit well, true to size for me. Narrows near the toe box, but I like them that way - they give me better control. I color is super cute & I've have so many compliments. No problem with smell yet, but I've only had them a few weeks, I leave them in the open air after I take them off & sometimes I use a disinfectant spray, so we'll see with time if these develop the classic evolv smell, but for now I love them.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Not too small.Reviewed by Anonymous from Utah on Monday, June 16, 2014I'm fairly new at climbing. From my understanding, you want your climbing shoes to fit VERY snug, especially if you plan on progressing in the sport. I am normally a 10 and sized down to a 9.5. Although, these shoes were uncomfortable to start, they have molded to my foot perfectly. I have had them for about 2 years now and I am still in love. The rubber has held up great, and they have helped me grow from 5.5/5.6 to my first 5.10a in the past few months. (I had about a year hiatus due to a shoulder injury) These shoes are a little more aggressive than your standard beginner shoe.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Solid Climbing ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from colorado on Thursday, April 24, 2014As other reviewers noted, this shoe does run a bit small. I usually wear a 10 and bought a 10 (no 10.5 available during a 40% off coupon! Couldn't pass it up!) - definitely tight but have stretched out a tiny bit to feel less awful.
If I'd bought the right size, I'm pretty sure I would have fallen in love with this shoe immediately. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe, but too smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by CrazyClimber from Westminster Maryland on Friday, December 10, 2010This shoe was a fantastic price and it's extremely comfortable in terms of the arch, but they feel to be a whole size too small. I know that climbing shoes are to be very snug, but these might be too snug. I am going to keep them and see what happens!

4.0 out of 5 stars. NIce, can't beat the price!Verified Buyer Reviewed by AED from Columbia, SC on Tuesday, November 23, 2010These were purchased to really get a good introduction into rock climbing. After climbing a 5.5/5.6 for the first time in these shoes, it was obvious that if 5.6 is considered easy, I would not have been able to climb without these shoes. I watched others fail who wore only sneakers. These gripped the holds and gave me great confidence. After discounts, the price was around $40. I bought these based on the advice your first pair will get trashed, so buy a cheap pair until you start to feel how to really use climbing shoes. I was very happy with these and when we were on the mountain, I was happy to see a highly skilled climber wearing the same shoes! Two thumbs up. I didn't give it the fifth star because my understanding is these shoes are to be uncomfortable, but these seemed really small if the sizing is true. I would not hesitate to buy another pair of these, but I would go a half size bigger.
