These offer more comfort, and for longer. I'm a 34 waist in pants, and went with everyone's recommendation of going one size up. I normally buy a large, but got the XL. Even though it fit ok, I wanted bike shorts to be snug. I exchanged to Large and it fit perfect. Not super tight but snug. Well made shorts.

Only complaints is the sizing. I have a 34" waist and assumed large would work fine. They were super snug and had to exchange for XL. It was a bit of a hassle to exchange but the size up was so nice I ordered a second pair. I also got lucky with free shipping - score! I definitely recommend, just be aware of sizing problems.

These Podium shorts feel great. I've been on 6-7 20-25 mile mtn. bike rides and the best thing I can say is I don't think them the entire time I'm riding. Fit is perfect and the chamois does it's job perfectly. I will say that Pearl Izumi shorts do run smaller than other brands. I normally wear a L in other brand shorts but get XL's in PI. I think I have 5 or 6 PI shorts and they are very durable.
