My biggest problem in the winter months is the footwear causing my feet to perspire so much they become cold. With these socks it is not a problem!

I am a lean/thin lady, size 9 shoe, and I ordered a large in these socks, and I usually fold the socks down so that the band isn't so tight around my lower shin. They are very soft and very warm - and they are also very thin so I can wear them with most of my shoes. Great socks overall but uncomfortable to wear pulled all the way up because the top is so constricting.

They fit well - snug without being tight, wear well, and are very WARM, which is vital because winter seems to have set in early this year, without being itchy. Another things I like about Goodhew socks is that they also tend to hold up well with repeated washing in a machine, despite their being woolen. They are not as nicely padded around the toe and ankle as other wools socks I have ordered from ST, particularly from this maker, so lightweight is a good description. If you want more padding I would order another model. I know these will be getting a lot of wear in the coming months.

They're very thin and lightweight with no extra cushioning, but they feel sturdy and soft. They wash well with minimal pilling. Great socks for when you need something warm without bulk.
