I bought a size 16 and wear a size 14 jean, they were a little snug in my waist area. I think honestly, they aren’t high enough for my waist so they sit in a funny spot. Kept them despite being snug because I’m losing weight, otherwise I would have returned for a bigger size. For reference, 36” waist, 43” hips.

They are either too tight or too loose. I wear a size 16, bought a 16 in these and they were true to size. The fabric was very nice and feels flexible but is not thin. I'm actually looking forward to wearing these on vacation. I won't feel self conscious and I will be comfortable too!
