The price on this NB jacket is easily $80 less than the LLBean, and it's well built. However, I find the NB fabric to be thick and to have some resistance to smooth fluid movement. If you want a jacket for windbreaking, this is great. If you want a jacket to wear XC skiing or playing tennis or kayaking, you might find it restrictive. Personal taste obviously the key factor.
