It could probably be thin and see-through but the pattern hides it. Also the fabric and construction are pretty solid and won't stretch out of shape. This is my go-to leggings for the everyday summer activities.

I have a 27" waist, and there was no extra length in that drawstring to snug the pants any tighter. But they stayed up fine. The fabric is thicker than expected, so I am hoping it will stand up to scraping against rocks and trees without snagging.

Not at all see through, which always a worry of mine with patterned leggings. My only complaint is that I didn’t realize that they had such a narrow waistband. I wish it were a bit wider to help stay up on my hips, but they will work well.
