Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, Very Lightweight Pant

The lower leg is skinny while the upper part of the pant is more relaxed and skims the body. I wear a size 10 and ordered a M; I’m 5’9” with a 34” inseam, 30” waist and slender hips. The length is perfect.
There is one downside to these pants. The waist does not have a drawstring feature so that it can be tightened if needed. If my waist were any smaller, the M would hang off of me so I can’t imagine that someone who’s a size 8 could wear these pants without adding a drawstring; which I plan to do. If I went down to a size S, I think that the bottom part of the legs would be uncomfortably tight because my legs are larger than average when compared with someone who wears the same size.
Since it is still summer, I have no idea how warm they will be. They are very lightweight and although they are fleece lined, I can’t imagine that they’d be warm in truly frigid conditions and might be best as a base layer or top layer. My body temperature tends to run pretty cold so I imagine that I’d be most comfortable between 65 and 55 degrees wearing these alone. Coming from The North Face, I expected them to be a lot more substantial than they are, especially for $50.
The color scheme is less prominent in person than it is online and the grey and black look great together.

These went back. Kinda thin material, baggy fit, quality didn't seem great.

Interesting design with the fabric mixing detail. I am 5'3" 116lb, a size 4 @lulu for bottoms. Purchased these pants in S and they are huge. I have a pair of thermal leggings from NF in S and they fit fine. Not sure why these pants run so big. Otherwise, they are great winter pants for CA weather.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
