The material of this shirt is great. The look would be great. Problem is the shirt is about 3" too short (I'm 6', 170lbs). In addition, if you get a larger size, it would fit even worse as the bottom of the shirt flares out for some unknown reason...form fitting until about half way down your torso, then flares out...very strange.

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. does not fit

First of all, I cannot speak to how this jersey performas as I never removed the tage or used it on a ride/in a race.

I am 6'0" and about 165. This fits like a halter top. The medium was easily 3 inches above my navel. And it is loose at the bottom; i would suggest not form-fitting. I rechecked the size found it is just that far off.

WAY WAY too Short. I got a medium and the singlet barely clears my belly button. The fit and compression for the rest of the top is correct though. I am 5'9" 160 pounds.

Pearl Izumi makes great products, and the PRO line is its top offering. The materials in this vest are very cool looking and cool feeling. The pocket on the back is big enough for a couple of gels or whatever you might need. Fit in the chest is nice and tight, but below that is is still a little loose. I bought a small, but I don't think I am the skinniest triathlete to ever swim, bike and run. Even so, the fit below the chest is pretty loose. I may keep the vest to wear in training, but for the Pearl Izumi PRO name, this is not "race ready" or "form fitting". I would give it a 5-start ranking if the fit were better. Only gets a 3 for average execution.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
