It's very heavy, great for these cold winter months. The wool is not itchy at all. I find myself grabbing for it almost on a daily basis if I'm feeling a little chilly or if I just need to run out to the store. It's not as long as I typically like my sweaters, but that's just my personal preference. The picture is spot on as far as the fit. I just ordered another because I love it so much and I wanted it in both colors!
