Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. High Quality
Reviewed by SnowPanda from Buffalo, NY on Tuesday, October 12, 2010
I use this coat for outdoor work, cycling, and casual wear. The large size fits me (5'9 160lb) perfectly. Everything about this jacket is of heavy duty construction from the fabric, stitching, buttons, pockets and zippers to the velcro. This is definitely not an "Arctic Jacket" unless you plan on wearing several layers of clothes underneath it. It's more suited to 20-55F weather which is adequate for most people. The inner cuffs on the sleeves are an especially nice touch. Since I use this as a work jacket, the first thing I did was spray it with a fabric protectant /stain repellant giving particular attention to the areas that always get dirty; the ends of the sleeves, around the pockets, bottom hem and zipper opening.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. very weird sizing
Reviewed by Anonymous from Virginia Blue Ridge on Friday, October 24, 2014
I am returning this jacket. I am 6' 180lbs and ordered a large. it falls above my belt and 2 of me could fit in it width wide. it seems made for someone much shorter and fatter than me. I've found that carharrt sizing is super weird in general. I was surprised about how badly this jacket fit though. I guess maybe order a medium tall size? I dunno. Just going to get a different brand.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
