Length was just about right, but they were not made for lean kids. We kept the mediums, although they are really loose, because my older kid runs and bikes and has a bum that helps hold pants up, but when my beanpole younger son tried his on, they fell straight back down to his ankles. They seem well sewn, the fabric is thick & they are really soft, but the "drawstring" is actually just decorative and can't be used to adjust the waistband.
