5.0 out of 5 stars. Great coat
Reviewed by utahsnow from utah on Saturday, January 12, 2013
This is a great coat. It is extra long which is nice for keeping in a little more warmth. It is stylish and extremely comfortable. The hood is insulated and has extra room and could probably fit around a helmet. But it tends to droop over my face without a hat on. I've been wearing it for hours at a time in single digit temps the past week and have been comfortable. Great coat from mountain hard wear!

A bit heavy but good if you are not trying to pack it. Haven't tried it yet in the cold. Runs a little large. I am 5-11 185 lbs and medium fits good
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Everyday Jacket!!

The Material on this jacket is not bad. I just wanted something to wear everyday back and forth to work. I drive a bus so I didn't need anything fancy. Its roomy enough for layers and the hood is comfortable. I have not worn it yet in the cold weather so I cant really comment on the warmth.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Runs large, strange fabric

This jacket looked great online, but fit like a hot air balloon when I received it and wore it for the first time. Seems well made, but the fabric is rough to the touch, too.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Coarse fabric, bulky fit
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Northern Arizona on Friday, January 30, 2015
This jacket disappointed me immediately. First, it didn't fit well at all; everything about it felt too roomy and cheaply made. The outer fabric felt odd, as in coarse and wiry and just odd; not something that I'd want to feel again. Also, the insulation was much thinner than anticipated.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
