5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Boots!

I live in Minnesota and we've had tons of snow and bitter cold (up to -40) temps. I've worn these boots every day since receiving (just over a week) and love them! I've gotten a lot of compliments on the style, they're extremely light weight, super warm, and waterproof, even with my feet in the snow for hours. They worked well both for snowshoeing and running errands around town. I typically wear a 6.5 in all shoe types except sneakers, which I get in a 7. I loathe tight toe-boxes so really debated between a 6.5 and 7 in this boot, but ultimately went with the 6.5 and they fit great. Highly recommend.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Too big

The yellow color is much nicer than I thought but the size... man, they’re huge! I looked like a clown in my regular size 7.5. This is very unusual, comparing my other boot with this one it looked like there was at least two sizes difference! Anyways, if you wear a size up from what’s available,I would suggest give it a try, can’t beat the price;)!

Super cute and warm. Got them for my daughter and she loves them.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. dog walks are better now

I needed a waterproof boot for walking dogs in fall/winter weather. Also needed to be able to remove the foot bed for orthotics, which these boots allow for. Very comfortable and like the boot height -- not too low or high.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Size was too big

Boots appear well-made but were too big and clunky-looking. I usually size up by half size in order to accommodate for thick wool socks but these boots were still too big. Might reorder in smaller size.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy boots
Verified Buyer Reviewed by WinterLover from Michigan on Wednesday, March 27, 2019
The tread doesn't look like much, but I couldn't slide down hills if I tried. They are comfy. Snow will get in easily at the top unless they are covered. I tried a different pair of winter hiking boots that had extensive treads, but I felt that I was walking on rubber all the time. I couldn't feel the ground so I kept tripping. They were also stiff and they never broke in. These boots felt broke in after one long hike and my feet never got cold, maybe too warm at 10 F.

About Salomon

The legendary Salomon outdoor equipment company was founded more than 60 years ago in the French Alps by Francois Salomon. After developing the world’s first self-releasing ski binging in 1966, the company continued to grow and innovate new products. By the early 1990s, the brand had taken the wintersports market by storm with Salomon skis made using cap construction, a totally new innovation at the time. Salmon boots quickly became famous for their balance of performance and comfort on the slopes. By the turn of the century, Salomon snowboards were helping athletes push themselves in the park and powder. Today, Salomon continues to be an industry leader, with products that range from skis and snowboards to hiking boots and trail running shoes.
