Not super waterproof but it's a good solid coat. Fits a tad larger than expected but its a coat so that's fine, my husband is happy.

It is an insulated coat, but not heavily insulated enough to qualify as a parka, IMO. It is a nice coat for the money I paid (~$22). The only other "issue" I have with it is the zipper is backwards...instead of the zipper pull being on the right side, it is on the left, which is backwards from 99.9% of every other men's coat out there.
