They ride a little bit low, just below the waist. Consider ordering one waist size larger, they did shrink a little. Fit is pretty good and they appear to be sturdily made. Cargo Pockets have Velcro patches for fasteners

Gussetted crotch was a nice touch, making them that much more comfortable.
Lightweight cotton twill was great in warm/hot weather of California Foothills.
