I'm consistently an XS (2-4) but this was too tight across the shoulders and too snug throughout the body for layers. The sleeves were a tad short as well but I do have long arms.

But, I could not get a good fit. I am 5'4; 120 lbs; small boned; narrow shoulders and usually wear a size 6, but this jacket in size small was small in general- perhaps more like a "petite" , a bit boxy and the length short- the sleeves were a good length with good closure on my small wrists.
Though it was not available in the next size up, the price was so good and the jacket so nice I decided to keep it and find someone to give it too! -

It's light and warm. Initially, I ordered a size XS, but exchanged it for a S, so i could wear layers (the chest was too tight--I'm 5'4", 110lb.) The front pockets are doubled--there's a side zipper and a top front snap option, and both places are big enough to store my iPhone XR with a case. The inside breast pocket is also roomy. The only reason I didn't give this coat a 5 star rating is because the zipper is a bit glitchy at the bottom. Thankfully, when I'm in a hurry and the zipper isn't behaving, I can tie it closed at the waist and snap it up. The snaps are on a fabric loop, which makes it much easier to fasten while wearing gloves or mittens. The zipper might be a deal breaker for some, but I love this coat so much, it's worth the occasional extra 10 seconds it takes to zip it up.

It was too fitted in the chest and armholes, so I exchanged for a size S. I'm 5'4"/110 libs. Initially, the zipper was glitchy, but I didn't want to exchange it because I wear it every day to walk my dog in frigid weather, and I didn't want to be without it. The inside breast pocket is very roomy, and my iPhone XR fits inside with room to spare.
