  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Odd construction and styling; more skate than boat shoe

The uppers--along the sides where they meet the soles are some sort of rubberized material; the only felt is the apron on top. This combined with the fact that there are no working laces to snug up the generous sizing, I decided not to bother trying to break them in as they'd probably fall off my feet once they stretched. They also look a lot like skate shoes in person. Returned.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
