There is only a thin layer of synthetic fiber in it. It really depends on the winter temperature. For California winter it might be appropriate for the baby. Not good for the winter with snow in my opinion. Good against wind and light rain. One thing I wish would be different. For the size 12 month I wish the designer did an option of open feet. Kids at 12 month might start walking already. It will be hard to fit the suit in the boots. Sending it as a present. Like the quality with the discounted price.
