It's very flattering at the neckline and the sleeves if you have thin or toned arms. But the bodice is neither here nor there in terms of shape.

It fits loosely in an a-line and falls just below the hip. I wear it over a 3/4 sleeve length fitted nylon t-shirt with jeans and get tons of compliments. The knotted neck design is interesting and stylish. I have the Peony, which is a muted medium pink and quite pretty.
I'm sure that the top will also be good solo for summer with capris or shorts. The sleeves are little cap sleeves that just cover the shoulder. V-neck is just a bit low for my taste to be worn alone, so perhaps better over a cami or bandeau top. Sizing seems normal for this top. -

When I ordered it, I thought the fabric was a solid color, making it perfect for dressier slacks, capris, or even a skirt. Turns out fabric is "heathered", which I found odd, because it would have been dynamite in a solid fabric (in my humble opinion, that is). It's beautifully made, just more casual than I wanted.
