I bought this in the blue and it is very pretty and comfortable. The neck isn't so much a cowel as an unstructured hood that can be draped / rolled around the neck with a tie cord. It has princess seams and is definitely fitted but soft and comfortable. I tried it on over another base layer I was already wearing and it fit but it will be much more comfortable on its own or as a base layer. The sleeves are a good length as they come a little long and while it's not a true tunic it is longer length which I like so I can wear it with leggings. If you like Gramicci you should like this - I ordered in Medium and it fits well without being 'tight'.
