5.0 out of 5 stars. made in china

well I was going to return these but since they were marked down to 40 bucks I tried wearing them. Shaft is tight but just some wet socks did the trick. I wore them around the house for a few days. I own over 10 pairs of boots. After break in these boots are very comfy. I didn't have to size up or anything like other reviews say. I am however angry that they were listed as Made In Mexico when right on the inside it says Made in China. False advertising not cool. But have to say love these boots so far.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Nocona Lantana Vintage Cowboy boots

You need to size up on these because they run small. The leather is extremely hard, not soft at all. I suppose maybe a leather conditioner will help a little bit, but not much, so may take time to break them in the way you want them to. Last time I had real nice leather cowboy boots the leather was very soft and flexible extremely well made and the boots fit like a glove and there was no hardness to them what so ever. Wish I could find a pair like them again, but that was 30 years ago and they still looked new, which I recently donated them, wish I didn't. I haven't yet worn these new boots out anywhere as of yet, but I will once I get the chance to do so. If the leather was soft would be a lot better. Again, go up a size other wise you will be returning them as I did to get a size up, so keep that in mind.

buyer beware...these are not made in Mexico but China. Not true Nocona boots.....they are actually part of China's Justin line...who bought out Nacona....that being said they are worth the cheap price...not really a discount here....sending mine back....

I usually wear size 8.5 but read the reviews from different sites...so I choose to buy size 9..
I had to spray the boots with a boot stretch...and now they fit perfectly...??
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Cute but stiff and painful
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anon from Georgia on Thursday, January 10, 2019
The fit of the shoe is true (going by the 1/2 size up for boots rule) and they feel great if you're standing completely still, however, the leather is WAY too stiff, causing them to bend in awkwardly around the ankles which is quite painful. I put them on and tried to walk across the house a couple of times to see if I thought they would break in but could not walk at anything close to a normal stride. It was more of the waddle you'd have if both of your lower legs were in casts. There's no amount of leather lotion or breaking in that'll fix such a problem, so they're going back.

About Nocona

Back in 1920's, when most women were either dancing the night away or hard at work tending hearth and home, Miss Enid Justin was busy starting a company called Nocona boots. Having worked by her father's side since the age of twelve and learning the fine art of boot-making, she was in a good position to do so. Wildcatters liked the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail in this boots - qualities that soon made Nocona the boot of choice for hardworking western men and women. Today, Nocona boots are still made tough enough for cattle drives and handsome enough for the dance floor. Whether you're an urban cowboy, rodeo queen, or working the wide open range, let Nocona boots and belts bring a little piece of the old West to any outfit.
