I was surprised when I received them as there is a lot more silicone edging in these than in the other underwear I own and when I first tried them on I could really feel the difference and it was a little strange. The underwear I already own have a single, very thin band of silicone and the Calida's have three. Upon closer inspection, my other underwear also have elastic. Anyhow, after maybe 10 minutes of wearing the Calida's you don't feel the silicone anymore. They don't ride up at all and I don't have any indentations in my skin like elastic will leave.

They are pretty thick, but wash well. I am not a big fan of the silicone finish at the leg opening either, which I didn't realize they had them until I got them. I am keeping them, but they are not as comfortable as I would have liked. I am an avid STP shopper and it is one of my favorite shopping websites. This won't break the deal.
