I was happy to purchase several of these in both bright red and the cool forest pattern, along with matching size medium bags and one size large, too. I strongly prefer to avoid Chinese-made products, so “Made in Vietnam” was part of the reason for my multiple purchases.

It packs small when empty, yet is almost too large for normal uses. For carrying bulky items such as winter clothing, it should be perfect!

I've owned them for 5 years now and can report they are super tough and extremely useful. I bought them looking for the absolute largest/lightest bag possible when I was moving overseas. I didn't ship anything - just moved with the bags I could check in as baggage. Since then, these bags have been around the world, generally filled with climbing and other outdoor gear, and almost always to the airline maximum 23kg/50lb. Fully loaded, they are definitely cumbersome, but being super durable, I'm not afraid to drag them across smooth airport floors, either. Would purchase again, but I won't have to for a long time.

A previous reviewer mentioned they though it is made with inferior non-durable materials and that is NOT true. Is it an overbuilt bag for daily abusive use, no. For an average user this bag will last many years of worry free service. Its dimensions are taller than other similar bags and it is large enough that if stuffed full the bag will be difficult to carry by most. Excellent bag that I expect to use the rest of my life, since I'm careful with my stuff.

It looks like it is made with solid construction, but due to the size if it were to be filled up you probably could not lift it without something breaking. IT DOES NOT HAVE A SHOULDER STRAP. Quality bag and worth the price.
