I don't know, maybe my kid has a big head, but he's only 6 and the smaller size just barely fits him. He's not big for his age either. Would be curious to try the bigger size.

Unfortunately, nothing secures the receiving piece to the strap. When our daughter wore it a second time, the piece disappeared. We'll have to figure out something else.
