Also, the brown in the photo is not a match; the color is more of a dark khaki. It still goes well enough with the top I bought it to go with, so I didn't send the shorts back.

The fabric is a bit stretchy, but feels very light. They dry very fast, even if they happen to get wet when you have them on. I bought all three colors and 2 of the capris as well. The bark color is really a dark khaki color.

I generally wear a 4, I bought the small, they are just 'slightly' large, but I like my clothes a bit loose, especially in the hot summers.
