Dense weave gives it a lot of warmth without being as bulky as most fleece pullovers. Fit is standard Royal Robbins, which is slimmer than Columbia and North Face. Wish they had some more interesting colors, though. I bought both colors offered here and they appear to be light gray and dark gray.

It has a micro fleece interior which layers perfectly (for me at least) with a long sleeve, micro waffle type t-Shirt.
I'm about six foot, 190 lbs and wear a forty three or forty four size jacket and 34 to 35 inch waist trousers / shorts. Sometimes I need to get an extra large shirt to fit well and at first, I thought that might be true of this sweater. Then I tried it on and was amazed at the lay of the fabric and the fit over the shoulders and neck. I feel as if this was made for me specifically.
This is a machine / hand wash sweater which supposedly has an SPF of 50. I can't verify that at this time but ... it is a Royal Robbins and I have never been disappointed with the products from his company which I own. I got it as a walk around sweater and a layering item when I am on a motorcycle or even on a boat. If it wears as well as I suspect it will - it will be a long lasting winner.
