Living in mostly warm and sunny Tucson I did not have a cold weather worthy jacket for planned outdoor activities like snow shoeing and x-country skiing. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on a jacket that wouldn't get much wear. This one fit the bill. Relatively light weight and not particularly noisy (crinkly) this jacket is very well made. It does offer mobility...doesn't feel constrictive.
