I knew it was a gamble, but he really likes this coat (thank goodness). Large fits him well, with room underneath for a sweater or fleece, but I don't think he will need it as he says the coat is really warm. He is 6' and weighs 175 lbs. The hood is easy to use (i.e. stays up and covers his head), and the "fur" trim is removable (which he removed-- not his style). The parka is long enough to cover a suit jacket, if necessary, and more stylish than a ski-type jacket. He's been wearing it without complaint during the cold wave we've had on the east coast. He also said there are lots of pockets, including deep, front ones for gloves and hat.

I ordered a large and is consistent with other large size jackets I've purchased in the past. Note, the collar/hood is very large.and would probably only be worn in really cold, windy days unless you like having your head totally enclosed.

I find the fit a bit large. I wear a usually wear a medium but can occasionally small. If small was available, I would have returned this medium.
Yes as the other reviewer said the zipper could be better. The zipper isn't ykk but at least it has the larger teeth, which tends to last longer. The fickleness of the zipper is because the of a zipper feature. You can unzip from the bottom. Unzipping from the bottom can help you ventilate or make it more comfortable to sit, kneel or bend over.
My other gripe is there are no closures (velcro, zippers, snaps or flaps) for upper front exterior pockets. That said, I am overall happy with the product and its value.
