5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent daypack

Since getting this backpack, I have taken it on a few day hikes. It feels great on my back, and I love all the pockets and features. Not sure yet how cool it will be against my back. The only con I've discovered is that my water reservoir's hose doesn't fit through the exit holes in the pack.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. great little pack

I loved this pack overall. It was large enough to carry a mirrorless camera, birding binoculars, a lunch, and a light jacket. It was quite adjustable and fit well. However, the padding in the back in the sacrum area was thick enough that it gave me a backache even though I tried adjusting it several times. I found it too thick. I returned the item, but I would recommend it to others.

This is a nice pack, but I ended up sending it back because I didn't like the pocket configuration. It has one large compartment and two small outer pockets, but I was looking for something with at least one medium-sized pocket. But this is just my personal preference--I think this is a well-designed and high-quality product, it just wasn't quite what I was looking for.

Although this bag has several good features, I returned it because it was much smaller than I expected.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. nice pack and lots of details

This pack is a little smaller than I thought is was going to be, based on the dimensions. However, I like it so far. The outside pockets and the inner zip pocket are not big enough to put anything longer than about 6" in, which is a downside for me as that leaves just one big space to hold everything else. My hydration bladder fits fine. The waist buckle is small although the straps and pockets are sturdy. Not sure that I would be able to jam much of a rain jacket up into the bottom pocket where the rain fly is stored- but there is some space there for something small. Finally, I would like some sort of way to control the ends of all the straps- thee are not any gaskets provided- but overall this is a good pack.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
