(Based on having a pair of Muck wading boots, size 8M. I wear an 8W in tennis shoes and hunting boots.) The 8M felt tight, width-wise. That’s the only reason I rated them 4 vs 5 stars. The boot is well-made; great stitching, no cosmetic flaws, and a good out sole. I purchased them because they were on sale. But again, this 8M wasn’t as wide as the 8M In the standard wading boot. So if you’re a size 8R, this 8M ankle boot should fit ok.
