Specially made Flannel Loungewear Shirt - Long Sleeve (For Women)

I like this bright pink, I did not find it too bright. The small is a generous size, flannel is heavy weight. I like it very much for under $6.00!!

this is a wonderful evening/nightshirt and so soft, I love it, should have ordered two.

Its a feminine take on a basic flannel shirt. It is true to size and cut well. excellent price.

I bought this (the plaid) in a medium hoping to wear it as day clothes rather than loungewear. I think I could get away with it, but it is pretty long (sleeve length and body of shirt) and also the softness make it feel like loungewear (which it is). Also the cuffs and collar lining are a small pink print that reminds me again that it is loungewear. I didn't see anything wrong with it that would make it a 2nd, but I didn't overly scrutinize it. I have not yet laundered it so can't comment on shrinkage. The cuffs have a rather long opening, which I plan to sew closed mid way down (outerwear often puts a button at this location) so when I roll the sleeves up, they aren't so floppy for the first two rolls. I do like it and still plan to wear it out, probably with a layer underneath it. If it doesn't shrink when laundered, I may also shorten the hem of the shirt. It is a great price! Athleta makes nice stuff.

Bought all three. First tried the large. It was immense, particularly in the shoulders Real athletes (female swimmers, weight trainers, etc) may have shoulders that large; most of us lesser females don't. But the brand name is Athleta, so choose your size according to your shoulders and according to how much "oversize" you like in your loungewear. The mediums will do for me as modesty/warmth over shirts to my long underwear-style pajamas when I get up in the morning or before bed. ( I wonder if that large was really mislabeled? It seemed two sizes larger than these mediums; they would be classified as large in some sizing ranges but are within the realm of the medium when the description "oversized" is taken into account, I think.)

The plaid is a thinner, softer flannel than the two other prints and is a tad smaller. Seldom have I found a plaid shirt with such precise plaid-matching at seams and skillful use of the plaid pattern on the pocket and placket.! I really admire this one and will enjoy wearing it over my Watson black thermals (also from STP at a great price.) The plaid one also could be worn for general wear. It has more versatility than the girly-pajama prints.

Laundry instructions say to wash warm, dry flat, then iron, or dry clean. Drying flat takes lots of space and tempts our cats to sit on the laundry. My helpful husband had them in the dryer before I knew it, but I pulled them out at half dry and hung them up to finish drying. They came through beautifully without shrinking and needed no ironing for lounge wear. And they did not fill the dryer filter with fuzz, like some less well-combed flannels.

I look forward to seeing more Athleta products at STP. If these are typical examples of their quality, Athleta features superior sewing with great fabrics.
