4.0 out of 5 stars. Interesting Hybrid DesignVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bushcraft Lee from Georgia on Monday, January 21, 2019The Hultafors OK4 "Expedition Knife" appears to be a combination of their rugged GK tool box knife blade with the comfortable overmolded grip found on other models. Improvements include a black-wash finish to help protect the carbon steel (believed to be Japanese SK5 steel) blade from oxidation, and measuring increments printed on either side of the blade. Not a full tang design, but the tang is substantial and should stay put under hard use. Possibly the best improvement is the addition of an elastic fabric belt hanger for the standard black plastic sheath; the new belt hanger is similar to an old school bayonet frog, and significantly improves the utility of the sheath. This sheath also includes a loop for a ferro rod. The blade spine is ground flat for use as a scraping tool. The present writer has not yet used it extensively, but if this knife is made to the same standard as its GK model predecessor, it will be quite adequate for bushcraft use. Recommended.
