5.0 out of 5 stars. Love it!!!!

My second Aria vest. I fell in love with the first one so much I found myself cyber-stalking them for deals. I never saw the trillium color in person and I was hesitant to get it based on the picture but I was happily surprised when it showed up. I thought it would be a flat, dark pink color but it's a beautiful, glossy raspberry red. These are not just for show. They have good practical features - 2 interior pockets (one with zip and cord hole) and adjustable bottom and hood elastic. Some visible feathers through the fabric if you look hard enough but not a deal breaker with the darker color. Fits true to size. I'm a solid 12 and the large is roomy enough for layering without being big and it has a flattering, feminine cut. Pretty, practical and warm. What more could you ask for?

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Aria Down Vest

Love it! It is form fitting and flattering. I'm ususally a medium to small size. This vest was small / petite but was the only one available. It is slightly too small for me especially at the arm holes. I am going to keep it because it looks good but won't be able to wear thick shirts underneath. Still love it.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Very cute, but not real warm

This is an adorable vest! It does run a little big, so if you order your regular size you'd be able to fit a sweater underneath. I live in Seattle and the vest wasn't very warm when the temps were low 40's - just something to be aware of. The hood is nice and functional as well.

Very warm and cozy while extremely light weight. I love having the hood for extra warmth.

I wish there a better color contrast between the rose and purple on this, but I very much like the pattern of quilting and the shaping. I ordered this and another vest, both labeled 650 fill power. This one seems much lighter than the other but I will keep it for wear when it isn't too cold. I have found that with a long sleeved tee, a vest works very well when I am working around a cool house. It does pack down very compactly One other reviewer mentioned the design of the hood being off, and I agree. The hood is simply cut too small from the back to the front. I can't imagine it fitting anyone comfortably and would be useful only in a sudden downpour or wind when nothing else was available. I doubt I will ever use it. The body is cut very generously and the XL I ordered would fit easily over a sweater or fleece. Given a choice I would order the L for a nicer fit but I won't return it for that reason.

Well-made, light weight down vest with hood. Draw cords snug up the waist and hood.

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
