It looks great, for cold weather walking. One thing the design lacks is a pull strap on the back. It would be an awesome boot if I could get my foot inside. I have a high arch and could not get my foot inside using a boot jack. These boots would be most suitable for someone with low arches or flat feet, since it has good arch support inside.

The huge problem though, is that these are impossible to get on with socks on. There's no zipper so you have to wiggle your foot into a tiny hole and with socks, there was no way this was going to happen. I got my bare foot in and size was fine, so it's not that the size was too small but rather that the hole to get your foot in is cut to small. They should have put a zipper.

The leather uppers are awful. I had to go back online to reread the description because they did not feel, smell or act like leather. The material content label was so far into the boot that one couldn't check it. But, online they say they are leather. Additionally I have a rather flexible and average size 8 foot but was completely unable to bend my foot to get it into the boot partially due to the stiff leather, and partially the design (no zipper or velcro or similar). Consequently they are going back.

However, I hesitate to buy shoes online as I’m sometimes hard to fit. But these boots arrived, fit perfectly, and were everything I hoped for! The quality of the leather is good, they are warm, waterproof, and perfect for our mountain home or even a cold Florida day! Added surprise of cute plaid fabric under the fur cuff for a bit of a different look if unfolded. Tread on bottom is good for hiking. Just a great find!

The sizing was perfect, the insulation seemingly adequate, and the boot was well constructed, sturdy, and stylish. I got into the right boot (which paradoxically, is my bigger foot), but I couldn't get the left boot on my foot without breaking into a sweat. Not the boot I need for casual, out the door, slip on. What's with that?
