it's really thin and glued onto micro-suede.
As I looked closer at the crocheting it's not even leather! There
is no suede. I started looking at the crocheting because the
yarn they used is really scratchy and the yarn is not tied off.
I am sending these back! -

I guess I was expecting a lot because of the price, but they turn out to be a disappointment. First of all, the footbed is kind of like a rectangle, so you can't tell the left from the right, and the sizing is way too big. From the picture, I thought there is some kind of padding/cushion under the insole, but there is none, so there is no support for your feet at all; basically, it feels like you wrap your feet in sheepskin, that's all. I guess if you're walking on carpet all the time, it may be OK, but it wasn't very comfortable when you walked on Tiles or hardwood floor, your feet can feel the floor. I returned them right away. However, I have to give credit to STP for processing my return so fast and painless. I'll be back.

They have a nice cushioned sole which I've never found with other shearling slippers I've had. Very cozy. Have only had them for a week or so, so I don't know about durability. The sole has a rubbery coating for minimal outside wear.

I did see these on another site at the suggested retail price that STP lists, so these are a great bargain. While we all love the latest high-tek materials, these slippers are genuine shearling and so comfy. I was worried about sizing, but these would, indeed, mold to practically any foot in the size range listed. I take a size 6 B shoe and was afraid they might be too long but they just cuddle my feet. They cannot be worn outdoors but do have a non-slip bottom. They seem to breath and my feet don't get too hot in them. What's not to love? They can be worn with or without socks. I highly recommend them. Woolrich makes such great products!
