3.0 out of 5 stars. bulky, but warmReviewed by DV hiker from NYC on Saturday, December 14, 2013I ordered both a medium and a large because it wasn't clear what size I am (I am female with very wide palms). I found almost no difference in size - just that the large has fingers a bit longer. These are more bulky than I would like. I lost a wonderful pair of Mountain Hardwear overgloves and these will have to do as a replacement, but they are thicker and less flexible. I had hoped to use them for winter biking and skiing, but I find it hard to grip the handlebars, even without the liners. I am keeping the medium, but will be looking for something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars. niceReviewed by Anonymous from Tbilisi on Saturday, December 7, 2013Haven't tried in snow yet, but gloves feel very warm.
held them under tap water for about a minute, water does not go through. upper material is water resistant, it does not get wet.
liners are pretty warm as well,.you can use them in cold weather, as long as your hands don't get wet.
gloves are a bit bulky for everyday use, but ok for outdoors and skiing. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Sizing a bit tricky, but nice qualityReviewed by SierraWanderer from Oregon on Sunday, November 24, 2013I really like the design and construction quality of these gloves. Just keep in mind that when used in the warmest mode (with liners) they will obviously be tighter than without. My hand measures about 8" and size medium feels great without the liners, but they are a bit too snug with the liners. The main glove is insulated too, so they should still work fine for moderate temperatures without the liners. The liners themselves have grip strips so they can also be used alone for milder conditions. If you're in-between sizes consider the larger size if you intend to wear them in the warmest mode (with liners).
